Shades of Reality

For those of you who don’t know Leigh Haig, he’s slaved behind the scenes as a copyeditor for presses like Necessary Evil Press and Thunderstorm Books. I met Leigh nearly a decade ago when he was assigned to my NEP novelette ZERO, and we’ve been friends ever since. I can’t even count all of my books that have been made better by his keen eye and editorial suggestions. During this time it’s been my pleasure to see him develop as a writer, too. And thus it’s my pleasure to share the news of the publication of his first book, SHADES OF REALITY from Gallows Press. There’s even an afterword by Gene O’Neill and an intro by yours truly. I hope you’ll check it out, because this is a strong book with a really clever premise. Congrats, Leigh!

  1. Mike – thank you so very much for the kind words and sharing details about Shades of Reality. And for anyone who is inclined to buy based on Mike’s posting here, I thank you, too.

  2. Nice job Leigh. Here’s my mini-review after reading it yesterday.
Very good first novella from a new author. Parental fear for their babies well being drive this page-turner along with good characterization. However, some unique plotting and a couple cool twists leading to a satisfying climax cement this as an author to watch for.
