My Apologies

Hi, all! For whatever reason, I stopped receiving notifications about new posts, so I apologize to everyone who either wrote or messaged and didn’t get a reply. I blame technology, but, ultimately, it’s my fault. Hopefully, I’ll be able to rectify the problem! I look forward to catching up with all of you. 🙂

    1. I don’t know if I got hacked or what, but my site email stopped forwarding to my home email, so not only did I miss site notifications, I missed important emails from my editor!

  1. I’m reading Contagion and I’m wondering what made you decide to use details from Detroit that aren’t realistic. About the only thing recognizable was a reference Ford Field and another to Wayne County.

    1. Hi Gwyn,

I’m sorry if the locations in the story didn’t pass your sniff test, but I assure you that every set piece was painstakingly researched to ensure accuracy as of the time of writing. From the Danish Brotherhood Hall to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office to the various houses where The Executioner’s victims were found. The listing for the house where the woman killed by the death of a thousand cuts is no longer on the market, so it’s a dead link now, and I used a fictional address (1630 Brace Street so as not to identify a private home), but if I couldn’t find multiple sources of detailed imagery from an article, book, newscast, satellite, Google Earth, or street cam, I didn’t use the location. As always, I appreciate the feedback.

      1. My mistake! I didn’t recognize some of the neighborhoods and when you had Duvall leaving town on I-80, that made zero sense to me, which made me think the neighborhoods referenced might be invented. Should have done my research!

Now explain I-80 to me 🙂 Please!

  2. You’re right. I cut a lot of unnecessary driving from that scene (I needed to get the character to I-80) and left that detail. Good eye. I’ll fix it and upload a new version of the ms.

    1. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions and helping my brain let go lol. Looking forward to the next installment!
